Dog stroller for Lucy the rescue dog

Sometimes a dog's injury is temporary, and sometimes an injury will last the rest of your dog's life. Lucy is an active dog who loves the outdoors and running around. A squirrel chasing related accident left her with a sore hip. With Lucy's InnoPet dog stroller, she can still keep up with the pack and enjoy her outdoor adventures.

Christine is a loving dog mom to three adorable rescue dogs: 6-year-old Lucy, 2-year-old Toby, and 8-year-old Spot. These three furry companions have been by Christine’s side, providing comfort and joy, especially during her own health struggles. Christine is waiting for a kidney transplant, which limits her ability to exercise. However, thanks to her brother, who is recovering from cancer, the dogs still get plenty of outdoor time, with two to four walks a day at the nearby lake.

Lucy has a passion for chasing squirrels and cats. On one of these lake walks, she spotted a squirrel. Unfortunately, she injured her back hip during the chase. Now, at just 6 years old, Lucy suffers from arthritis in that hip, making long walks difficult. Despite being on pain medication, she can only manage short walks before needing a rest.

Christine wanted Lucy to continue enjoying her walks with Toby, Spot, and her brother. That’s when her sister came to the rescue with a thoughtful gift: the InnoPet Adventure Stroller. This three-wheeled stroller is robust, sporty, and, in Christine’s words, “very posh looking” with a color that’s “class”. They also ordered the matching rain cover, to protect against Northern Ireland’s famously wet weather.

For Lucy, the stroller has been nothing short of life-changing. “The stroller is giving life to Lucy again,” says Christine. Now, she can still join her pack on their walks, enjoying the fresh air and scenery without overexerting herself. Passersby often stop to admire Lucy in her “chariot,” always quick with compliments for the little lady being chauffeured in style.

But the benefits of the stroller extend beyond just Lucy. For Christine, who faces physical limitations herself, the stroller has become a lifeline. Leaning on it during walks helps her maintain her stamina, and the storage compartment is perfect for keeping her medication and personal items within easy reach. The stroller has encouraged Christine to get outside more often with her dogs, helping her stay active and engaged in her condition.

In the end, the InnoPet Adventure Stroller has brought joy not only to Lucy but to Christine as well, allowing them both to enjoy their daily walks together, no matter the challenges they face.

Christine adopted her three dogs from Almost Home Animal Rescue North Ireland. Christine won the purchase amount of her InnoPet stroller back, by writing a review, and opted to donate the amount to the animal rescue.

4 Tips: walking your dog next to the stroller

Your dog probably won't be in the dog stroller the entire time you walk. Walking a dog on a leash alongside a dog stroller can still be quite a challenge. The leash getting caught between the wheels, your dog walking too close in front of the stroller, or pulling so hard on the leash that the dog stroller falls over. What can you do about this?
