Will your dog develop mobility issues?

Dogs of all breeds and sizes can face mobility problems in their lives. Sometimes temporary, such as when recovering from surgery. Sometimes permanently, due to conditions such as IVDD, arthritis or hip dysplasia. This can have a huge impact on their freedom of movement and quality of life. But that doesn't mean they have to give up their outdoor adventures!

Crate rest after surgery? A dog stroller helps fight boredom.

After surgery, a dog is often not allowed to move around too much for weeks. However, this does not mean that he only has to stay indoors! With a dog stroller, your dog can go outside safely, without straining his body. Research shows that 23% of InnoPet dog stroller users in the UK use the buggy during rehabilitation after surgery.

This handy table shows the recommended bench rest for each type of surgery. That way you know how long your dog needs to rest and how a dog stroller can help make this period more enjoyable.

Going outside together despite mobility problems

At InnoPet, we understand how important it is that your dog can continue to enjoy the outdoors. A dog stroller offers the perfect solution to keep going out together, even if your dog is less mobile. Whether it's a short walk through the park or a longer adventure, a dog stroller gives your four-legged friend the freedom they deserve.

Suzanne's story: How her stroller allows her partially paralysed Dachshund to go outside again

Suzanne’s dachshund, Claire, is partially paralysed by IVDD. Although her dog uses a dog wheelchair, walking long distances is not always practical. With her InnoPet dog stroller, her dachshund can still go with her to the woods, the city and the lakes. “Despite her disability, Claire still enjoys life to the fullest with the help of her InnoPet dog stroller.” tells Suzanne. “The stroller has been a true lifesaver, allowing us to take her everywhere we would normally go without any limitations.”
